Small Businesses For Health Care Reform

Providing an Independent Voice for Sustainable, Quality Health Care for Connecticut

Small Businesses Need a Health Care Solution
Small businesses account for 80 percent of new jobs in the state, but fewer than half of those new jobs come with health insurance.
Small Businesses for Health Care Reform is a network of Connecticut small businesses that will provide an independent voice for quality health care in Connecticut.  Among other planned actions, the group is supporting SustiNet, a proposal for health care reform put forward by Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut.

Health care costs have a tremendous impact on Connecticut's economic health. Small businesses account for 80 percent of new jobs in the state, but fewer than half of these jobs come with health insurance. Insurance is becoming unaffordable for more businesses every day. To survive, small business owners realize they must join together to be heard in support of quality, affordable health care for every Connecticut resident.

Small Businesses for Health Care Reform welcomes all individuals, businesses and groups that care about health, strong communities, viable small businesses and a strong economy. Work with us! It is time for small businesses to speak for themselves about what is important to us.

There is a growing understanding that the current health care system limits small businesses and their ability to grow and attract quality employees.

We will post links to articles, studies, and information that describes the problems and possible solutions.
